Fit + Finish Custom Cabinetry

Founded in 2022 after 30 years of independent contracting and working alongside a master woodworker, fine artist, and architect, Fit and Finish Custom Cabinetry was created to focus on custom fine woodworking projects in Portland and the Pacific Northwest, including kitchen and custom cabinetry for residential and commercial environments, fine art-related woodworking, custom furniture, and more.

Fit and Finish was founded by Anthony Fodero with a particular focus on communicative collaboration with clients, whether architects, builders, residential, or commercial clients.

Anthony Fodero is Fit + Finish Custom Cabinetry

From diorama to detailed design

Anthony began to develop his hand skills and craftsmanship as well as his eye for detail as a small boy building dioramas and creating intricate drawings, gaining an attention for detail that differentiates his work today.

The breadth of his skills allows him to collaborate with clients to create cabinetry and casework that maintain continuity in design and maximize function, and work closely with clients on details such as cabinetry hardware, inserts, and more.

Fine art, galleries, museums & books

Anthony's craftsmanship is rooted in his fine art experience, completing degrees in sculpture in New York at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute and Pratt Institute.

He then worked for a well-known public art sculptor and managed the studio of a career painter for over a decade in New York City, working on painting concepts and fabrication, gallery and museum shows, artist books, studio business practices, and more.

Historical repairs, custom buildouts & hand-builds

Anthony’s woodworking experience includes contractor work on residential homes in NYC, historical repairs and custom build-outs for the New York State Historical Society in Cooperstown at both the Farmers Museum (Fenimore Farm and Country Village) and Fenimore Art Museum, as well as work on colonial-era residential houses.

He designed, hand-built, and lived in a tiny house with his wife on a rural property in the early 21st century.

ADUs, floating houses & furniture

He has worked as a shop manager and builder of custom cabinetry and built-in casework projects with tiny houses, ADUs, floating houses, and more for an architect in Portland.

He approaches work as collaboration, understanding the needs of small business owners to maximize business space and potential, and homeowners’ needs to improve livability and storage by creating custom cabinetry solutions, display cases, and furniture.

He has worked as a shop manager and builder of custom cabinetry and built-in casework projects with tiny houses, ADUs, floating houses, and more for an architect in Portland.
